Empathy

It all begins with learning to quickly comprehend and embody the story you’re tasked with narrating. Through empathy and curiosity, you’ll be guided through fun exercises for script and character breakdowns, enabling you to fully grasp the writer’s intent, understand the story, and defend your character’s logic and actions. You’ll gain a personal connection to the character’s thoughts and feelings, enhancing your ability to make bold, intelligent choices in the moment.

Explore

Next, we’ll connect you to the character’s situation and circumstances to build a deep, personal understanding of their logic through exploration. This connection will make your audience lean in. Why? Because it is unexpected. You are present, living in the moment. You’ll learn practical on-camera exercises to explore what the character is NOT, so you can discover who the character is as YOU, make bold choices, and deliver alive, honest performances every take.

Execution

You’ll learn to trust your body’s natural impulses, letting go of anything forced or false. This will allow you to find freedom and trust in your listening. You’ll learn how to use stillness and silence to connect deeply to your thoughts and opinions, creating a memorable and ALIVE on-camera performance that’s uniquely yours. You’ll learn how to stay open and available to new discoveries with each take, leading to performances that get you noticed and leave a positive, lasting impression!
